〈竹原信一市長と阿久根市議会とがよく話し合うべきだった〉という趣旨の意見をもらった。この意見はもっともに思える。しかし、この意見は現実離れした一般論に過ぎない。
事実をよく見よ。
これは一般論に対する厳しい批判である。一般論が通用するように思うのは、事実をよく見ていないからである。事実をよく見れば、問題がそう簡単でないことが分かる。
それでは事実を見ていこう。

さらに、具体的な事実を見よう。山田勝議員の証言である。
（山田勝議員の証言１） 現在の阿久根市議会に「話し合いなど存在しない」議員の話し合いや休憩をする議員控室に集まる事は殆どない。委員会や本会議開催中も多数派は議長室、広い控え室は市長の改革を支持する4人議員だけ。

「議会の重要なこと」は多数派が「本会議でいきなり提案して決定して」しまうのである。山田勝議員自身も言う。「話し合いなど存在しない」 話し合い論者は、この事実をよく見るべきである。
つまり、これは「独裁」と「独裁」との戦いである。議会の多数派と市長との戦いである。議会の多数派は話し合い無しで議決をする。竹原信一市長も話し合い無しで専決処分をする。
もちろん、〈話し合うべき〉という一般論は正しい。しかし、このような阿久根市の具体的な事実を踏まえない一般論は虚しい。役に立たない。問題は、この状態で次の一手をどう打つかなのだ。

議会は、誠にひどい状態なのである。この事実を確認しよう。
多数派の議員は「議員控室」にいない。「議長室」にこもっているのである。そこで、密室の密談をしている。（苦笑）
そして、多数派は「重要なこと」を「本会議でいきなり提案して決定して」しまうのである。
このような状態では「話し合い」は成立しない。「議論」は成立しない。
さらに具体的に事実を見よう。
今日、次のような事態が起こった。
● 阿久根議会、副市長選任取り消し可決 市長派が議場封鎖
多数派は、もともと「話し合い」をする気はない。「話し合い」なしで、最初から決めていた結論を多数決で押しつけようとする。それに対抗して、少数派は「議場封鎖」をする。
「話し合い」論者は、阿久根市に行って両者を説得してみるといい。「話し合い」をするように説得してみるといい。
問題がもっと複雑であることを実感するであろう。

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that's not an issue, but if you're planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod's larger screen and better browser may be important.

You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.
